Now that I’m a senior I have the privilege of being allowed to go off campus for lunch. Here of some great places to go if you’re looking for something yummy. WARNING: I am not condoning anybody besides seniors going off campus. But if you are not, and you do, please don’t get caught.

Kneaded Pleasures- This is one of my go to places. It’s got pretty much anything and it’s all super delicious. A couple of my favorite things to get would be the grilled chicken sandwich, a bagel, or a yummy desert like a cupcake or some gelato. It’s pretty inexpensive and they give you a little punch card so that you can work your way up to a free sandwich. Located on Far West, it’s a quick drive from Anderson so you’ll be sure to make it back in time for class. They also have really good breakfast.

Quiznos- Pretty much right next door to Kneaded Pleasures is this tasty place. They are pretty much my favorite sandwich place, they’re fast and you can always get it to go. If you’re not sure where to go or what you’re in the mood for, Quiznos.

Pluckers- This is a place that is probably only best for senior’s with second lunch and then an off period. It takes a little while so you need to have enough time available. The food is worth the wait though, it’s addicting. My favorite wings are the terryaki, but I also like the lemon pepper. The fried cheese and holy macaroni are must haves, and most people really like the fried pickles. The part that I might like best though is the huge mason jars full of sweet tea and lemonade they bring you, with endless refills. Located on Burnet Road.

Fire Bowl Cafe-  I’m not a big fan of Chinese food, but I’ll actually eat here. The noodles are good and you can have all the fortune cookies you want. Right on Jolleyville and Great Hills it’s a little bit of a drive to get to this yummy spot.

Sonic-  Now here’s a place that just can’t be beat. Perfect for any kind of snack you could want. From corndogs, to tator-tots, to popcorn chicken, they’ve got it all. But the real reason to come here is for the drinks. Happy hour is from 2-4 so second lunch would be the best time to come. Located on Burnet Lane.

For anybody who doesn’t know me, I am a little bit of a redneck. And like any redneck, I love my country music. Aside from artists such as George Straight or Alan Jackson,who are known by generations of country music listeners, Tim McGraw is in my opinion a country classic.

  There is no denying his attractiveness, obviously, but when he opens up his mouth to sing and that voice of an angel comes out, he get’s 20 times hotter.

Full name Samuel Timothy McGraw was born on May 1, 1967. Son of former baseball player Tug McGraw, Tim came to the attention of Curb Records in 1990 although it wasn’t until two years later that he got his first minor hit “Welcome to the Club” off his self-titled debut album. His second album, Not a Moment too Soon, did a lot better, becoming the number one ranked country album in 1994. The first single “Indian Outlaw” was his first top-ten country single, reaching number 8, and got as high as 15 on the pop charts. The song “Don’t Take the Girl” was his first number 1 song, also came from this album.
