Commentary on the Zeitgeist

Tim McGraw

Posted by twitternewb on October 3, 2011

For anybody who doesn’t know me, I am a little bit of a redneck. And like any redneck, I love my country music. Aside from artists such as George Straight or Alan Jackson, who are known by generations of country music listeners, Tim McGraw is in my opinion a country classic.

There is no denying his attractiveness, obviously, but when he opens up his mouth to sing and that voice of an angel comes out, he get’s 20 times hotter.

Full name Samuel Timothy McGraw was born on May 1, 1967. Son of former baseball player Tug McGraw, Tim came to the attention of Curb Records in 1990 although it wasn’t until two years later that he got his first minor hit “Welcome to the Club” off his self-titled debut album. His second album, Not a Moment too Soon, did a lot better, becoming the number one ranked country album in 1994. The first single “Indian Outlaw” was his first top-ten country single, reaching number 8, and got as high as 15 on the pop charts. The song “Don’t Take the Girl” was his first number 1 song, also came from this album.

Aight, so on his next album, All I Want, went straight to number 1 on the country charts and sold over 2 million records taking it to number 5 on the Billboard Top 200. This album featured songs like “I Like it, I Love it” and “She Never Let’s it Go to Her Heart”. In 1996 Tim headlined The Spontaneous Combustion Tour, with Faith Hill as his supporting act. Faith broke off her engagement to her former producer Scott Hendricks so that she and Tim could start dating and they married on October 6, 1996. Yeah, so a lot more went down in the 90′s but I’m sure y’all are thinking dude I was a baby when all this went down, how does any of this effect me? Well, it doesn’t. But he’s awesome and so I’m going to talk about him some more. This is Tim and Faith and they’re both gorgeous and I’m so jealous.

Here’s some more videos 90′s albums:

Skip ahead to 2004 when he made the album Live Like You Were Dying, where the album title song went on to become one of the most awarded songs/records winning ACM Single and Song of the year, CMA Single and Song of the year and a Grammy.

He made a lot more music and is super amazing and if y’all want to learn more check out this wiki link:                      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_McGraw

Music career aside, Tim has moved into the acting scene in the mid 2000′s to present day. He is most commonly known for his recent roles in The Blind Side and Country Strong. He’s pretty good, I suggest watching the movies.

Basically, summing all of this up, Tim McGraw is an extremely talented man and I am so lucky to have him to entertain me.
